Mike & The Norfolk Blood Bike

At Swagger & Jacks, we’re lucky to have an incredible community of customers who love their motorcycles, and every so often someone comes along who reminds us that bikes aren’t just about riding for pleasure. They can also be about making a real difference.

One of those customers is Mike, who recently brought his Norfolk Blood Bike into the barbershop for us to display in our front window.

Norfolk Blood Bikers are a dedicated team of trained volunteers who provide a free, rapid, out-of-hours courier service for the NHS. They transport blood, plasma, medical samples, donor breast milk and urgent medical supplies between hospitals across Norfolk, often overnight, at weekends and on bank holidays, when time really matters.

What makes their work even more remarkable is that they receive no government funding and rely entirely on donations to keep their bikes on the road and their life-saving service running.

Seeing Mike’s bike sitting proudly in the shop window was a powerful reminder that behind every machine is a person giving up their time to help others. It was a real privilege to support Mike and help raise awareness for such an important local charity.

We’re proud to have customers like Mike as part of the Swagger & Jacks community. It’s proof that the riding world is full of people doing genuinely amazing things, often quietly and without fuss.
